Hi there, I'm Ana.

My last name, Adlerstein, translates to “Eaglestone” in German. Growing up, my family told me we were called that because our ancestors had worked as toll collectors, perched atop hills to gather stones from passers-by. During my IFS training in Spain, I had the opportunity to travel to Germany, where three of my grandparents were exiled from during the Holocaust. There I learned that an “Adlerstein” is an amulet used for protection in childbirth, a rattling stone found in eagles’ nests. I named my practice "Eaglestone IFS" to honor our parts and our ancestors: Those that keep us safe (often misunderstood), those that help us birth new ways of being, and the seed of life within.

My personal journey has taken me from hilltops into unimaginable depths. From refugee camps in Greece to the US/Mexico border, from civilian protection sites in South Sudan to the blueberry barrens of northern Maine, I have had the privilege of bearing witness and accompanying people—and their parts— in moments of crisis, change, and transformation.

These days am based out of my hometown, Portland, Maine, where I see clients in both English and Spanish remotely across the globe. I fold my experience as an advocate and community organizer, journalist and storyteller into my IFS practice, empowering clients to navigate their internal landscapes. I am committed to our individual and collective capacity for liberation, and am constantly in awe of the transformative power of IFS. It would be an honor to work together.
